The Westcott Theater has been bringing so many awesome shows to Syracuse lately so I figured I’d include my top 3 picks for the next week. Here you’ll find a quick primer on the three acts as well as all the info you need to decide, listen and purchase tickets. First up is psychedelic shaman-trance called Shpongle, Russian-American rockabilly with Red Elvises and then Brooklyn-based indie-dance band Rubblebucket. It’s quite a unique list so get ready for some fun.

For anyone stumbling over the name–as I’ll admit I was–it is in fact “subtract.” This Thursday, April 5th up and coming UK DJ/producer SBTRKT takes the stage at The Westcott Theater (where else?). Current listeners have already been won over by the music’s totally unique charms and blatant genius (got the album on repeat as I write this). It’s somewhat of a departure from the artists I’ve been writing about lately, and a show that you absolutely should not miss!
