As I’ve found since I started reviewing restaurants, it isn’t often that every aspect of a dining experience comes together to create something special. You often find excellent food in hole in the wall type places that haven’t been redecorated since the 70s, while some high-end, modern joints may leave you disappointed. There are very few constants in the world of restaurants, but I like to look at the entire experience when it comes to providing thoughtful reviews. This brings us to The Sherwood Inn in Skaneateles.

While doing a tasting of some of Anyela’s young, 2010 vintage wines with my friend Neil Miller of Farmshed CNY we both had a chance to try the extremely limited supply of fresh pressed Cayuga White grape cider.

Anyela’s Vineyards, an absolutely stunning vineyard a few miles from town, is hosting a free community concert/happy hour on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
