By now you all know that I love Kitty Hoyne’s so I just couldn’t help writing this quick feature. Known for excellent and authentic Irish fare and frequent specialty beer features, the downtown pub is hosting a 6-course dinner in celebration of this season’s arrival of Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale. It’s on Wednesday, December 7th starting at 6:30 p.m. Hoyne’s chef, Damien Brownlow will be preparing five plates as well as an artisan cheese table paired with Sierra Nevada Special Limited Edition Beers. Each of the 5 plates comes with a beer pairing–both especially hand-designed to compliment one another. The list of plates looks incredible and I guarantee you won’t find anything like this in town for only $50 a person (tax included, gratuity additional).
So whether you’re a fan of the delicious, seasonal beers of Sierra Nevada (Celebration is amazing) or just in the mood to live luxuriously (5 gourmet plates) DO NOT pass up this rare opportunity. Celebration Ale is perfect as Syracuse begins getting windy and cold; it’s dry-hopped giving it a intense aroma a deep, rich flavor. But as far as the food goes, just looking at the course list will have you drooling, here’s proof!
