Jerry Seinfeld at the Landmark Theatre!

On Friday, July 19th at 7:00 p.m. stand-up comedy superstar Jerry Seinfeld hits the Landmark Theatre. He’s been known to make stops in Syracuse and as a stand-up fan, I’ve seen him twice so far. While there are a few comedy clubs in Syracuse, you’re unlikely to see a living legend like Mr. Seinfeld at any of them, so I recommend heading to the Landmark. It’s amazing to think how much time has passed since Seinfeld ended, but since then Jerry Seinfeld has been on the stand-up circuit perfecting his talent. If you’re looking to see a well-rounded evening of classic observational comedy, this is the one for you.

Everyone knows that Jerry Seinfeld is a big name in the entertainment business but he started out back in 1976 with an open mic night at New York City’s Catch a Rising Star. The act got him a spot on an HBO Rodney Dangerfield special and the rest is history. Back in ’88 he and Larry David put together a pilot for a little show called The Seinfeld Chronicles, later shortened to simply Seinfeld. I don’t need to explain how successful that became. Fast forward to 2013 and Jerry Seinfeld has appeared in movies, HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm many many times, and is among the wealthiest entertainers ever.

Anyway, it’s going to a highly worthwhile show to attend if the 2009 Landmark appearance is of any indication. It seems like such a long time ago, but I distinctly remember loving that show. Seinfeld is the type of comic whose style never changes and that’s one reason he’s so iconic. He’s a master of old school observational comedy and a guy you need to see. I’m looking forward to it!

Tickets are $49, $64, and $79 depending on what you go with. GET TICKETS NOW! - very high sell-out risk as of 7/10.
