Try This: City Dining Cards

1

I’m sure you’ve seen the Syracuse edition of City Dining Cards around town at various local restaurants, stores, and events like Syracuse First’s Buy Local Bash. I’m also sure that many of you already put up the $20 for this really unique way to save money while supporting Syracuse’s locally-owned businesses. I had a set lying around and decided to snap a couple pictures to show you why it’s worth the modest investment.

City Dining Cards is a 2010 founded, Buffalo-based, pro-local marketing company. The simple, very cool branding and design of City Dining Cards–as well as the practicality and great price-point–make them a must have in the Syracuse market. As I mentioned, you can find them at many local retailers. Here are some examples. Currently the brand is experiencing rapid growth throughout CNY and the Northeast. They’re available in eight areas: the Capital Region (Albany etc.), Boston, Buffalo, Philly, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rochester, and now Syracuse. Find out more here.

Here’s how it works:
1. Spend $30 or more at a featured restaurant.
2. Redeem your City Dining Card with payment.
3. Receive $10 off the food portion of the bill.

It’s as simple as that. Plus 5% of all proceeds from the sale of Card packs go to local food banks. $20 dollars for a deck of 50 City Dining Cards and each card saves $10. You do the math.

Where can I get City Dining Cards?
