The holidays are approaching fast so if you’re looking for a few last minute art-related gifts, here’s an option. The original “buy local” event and longest running arts and crafts shows in Syracuse, Art Mart 2012 is going on in the Atrium at City Hall Commons until Monday, December 24th. It started back in November, but there are still all kinds of items to choose from.
This is the 58th season of Art Mart, an event that brings together many Central New York artists, craftspeople, and others in a central location and just in time for Christmas. You’ll find a wide range of items including pottery, jewelry, paintings, and even stained glass, among others. It’s one of the few chances to pick out a unique piece of art at an affordable price. Whether you’ve got an art lover on your list or are just picking something out for yourself, it’s a fairly decent bet. This year’s Art Mart brought in 50 artists and craftspeople, so there will be plenty to see. See flyer below. Happy shopping.
Runs until Monday, December 24th. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday hours are 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday hours are 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
